I. THE PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL
After having created the new parish pastoral council in accordance with the provincial pastoral plan recommendations, we continue strengthening that way of working. We hold bi-monthly meetings prepared by an Ex co of about 10 members. We start always with evaluation of past activities, then reports of commissions and of mission stations and finally tackle new issues. The functioning has been good and regular and we equally hold extra-ordinary meetings.
Enlarged PPC’s composition: president-Parish Priest-; curates, the superior of the sisters, PPC exco, the PPFT, presidents and secretaries of all the Parish commissions and of all the mission station pastoral councils, of the choirs’ association, of the PYC, CWA, CMA, SCC coordinators. So the members of the PPC are around 70, and all must come from the various SCCs.
We have an evaluation and planning day in November and, from there, we draw the targets of the parish, the commissions, mission stations, groups, etc and their activities for the following year. With that information we print our annual pastoral plan and the year calendar of activities.
